Product Description.

ATOCOR 20MG TABLET  belongs to a class of medications called statins to treat raised cholesterol levels in our body. ATOCOR 20MG TABLET helps lower the level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or bad cholesterol in the blood and increase the level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol. Dyslipidemia is the deposition of unhealthy levels of fats (lipid) in the blood. In this condition, there is always a high level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL or bad cholesterol), triglycerides (TG) and low level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL or good cholesterol). 

Dosage.

Your doctor will advise you how often you take your tablets on the basis of your medical condition. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it. It is preferable to take the drug at the same time every day for better results.

Side Effects.

Like all medicines, ATOCOR 20MG TABLET can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. You may experience side effects like headache, blurred vision, muscle weakness, allergic reactions, hyperglycemia (excess of glucose in the bloodstream), constipation, nausea, diarrhea, joint swelling and back pain.
