Norvasc is used to treat chest pain (angina) and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease. Norvasc is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure may lower your risk of a stroke or heart attack.
Norvasc (amlodipine besylate) is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) prescribed for the prevention and treatment of heart pain or chest pain from angina, and for the treatment of high blood pressure. Norvasc is available as a generic drug.
