• Kojic acid: of plant origin, is a widely-used ingredient as a lightener for its efficiency. It intervenes in three distinct ways in the lightening process of the skin.

1. Reducing the existing colour of the skin.
2. Impeding the formation of new melanin by the melanocyte.
3. Blocking the presence of tyrosine, an amino acid without which the formation of melanin is impossible.

• Lactic acid: alpha hydroxyl acid that undertakes a gentle exfoliation, and unifies the general tone of the skin.
• Dipotassium glycyrrhizate: fraction of a plant extract, with calming activity and regulator of the sebaceous glands.
• Vitamin E: powerful antioxidant.
